Erin McCarthy, PhD. is a professor, speaker, author, coach and mindfulness teacher. A long time meditator, Erin came to teach mindfulness and mindful self-compassion through her interest in and scholarship on Contemplative Education, and seeing the difference it makes for her university students. A trained teacher in these modalities, she has taught courses locally, including for Federal Government employees, and been invited to give workshops and lectures at home and abroad. She has a special passion for how mindfulness helps in parenting; supports education at all levels; and advances social justice.
